The main focus of this
interdisciplinary program is to study culture, economic development,
biodiversity conservation (wildlife and coastal/marine), and management of
natural resources such as mineral deposits, forests, grassland and mangrove

diverse and economically valuable natural resources. This program will give students first hand experience on issues related to natural resource access, control, and management, livelihood
security, and economic development through an interdisciplinary lens of
geology, ecology, and human-geography.
